The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Alvin MacKinnon can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Uncle Neil

I have many memories of uncle Neil from my childhood. He was always such a fun loving guy. Always ready to tease the heck out of us, and call us funny names to make us cry, but definitely all in good fun. I think this teasing had to be a trait to be a MacKinnon brother. One of my favourite memories was learning how to swim at Waterford ponds, being thrown thru the air by uncle Neil and dad ( Butch ) and told to swim or drown with both of them laughing as us kids would struggle to swim but each and every one of us can swim. Then as I grew older I would always see him and aunt Carol at the mall and he always stopped with a big smile and hello and some snide remark to get us laughing. RIP uncle Neil and reconnect with the love of your life aunt carol. You will be missed
