After a lengthy and courageous battle with lung cancer, Patty Anne Richard is now resting peacefully. On February 26th, 2017, she passed away at the Brantford General Hospital surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She recently had a wonderful celebration for her 60th birthday on January 14th. Loving wife of Pierre Richard. Cherished mother of Daren Trousdell (Vanessa) and Mike Trousdell, step-mother to Sophie Simone. Devoted grandmother of her grandson Alex Trousdell who was the light of her life as well as her three beautiful granddaughters Abbey and Olivia Trousdell, and Brooklyn Walker. Sorely missed by her loving mother Patricia MacGrandles. Much adored sister of Dianne MacGrandles, Donna Wagner, Kirk MacGrandles, James MacGrandles, Sherry Stemmler, and Kim MacGrandles. Sister-in-law of Penny Mooney, MaryEllenMacGrandles, Jayne Kozak, Sheri Linseman, and Rick Robin. Predeceased by her dear father Donald MacGrandles (1986), her sister Nancy Harrington (2013), and her brothers-in-law Paul Stemmler (2016) and Bill Wagner (2013), and her sister-in-law Jackie MacGrandles (1996). Patty enjoyed working at NCO call centre for many years and made some wonderful friendships a long the way. She was completely dedicated to her family and was always willing to lend a helping hand when someone was in need. She will be greatly missed by her aunt Ruth, many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family. Friends will be welcomed at CHARING CROSS RECEPTION SUITES, 63 Charing Cross Street (adjacent to the Dennis Toll Funeral Home) on Wednesday, March 1st, 2017 from 5 - 8 p.m. where a Celebration of Life will be held per Patty’s wishes. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
