It is with deep sorrow that our family announces the passing of Paul Howard Brinklow at the Brantford General Hospital, on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at the age of 63, after a courageous battle with cancer. Loving husband and best friend of Ruth Brinklow (nee Haines). Proud and loving father of Rebecca Brinklow of Kitchener, Katherine Brinklow of Toronto and Cynthia Bartok (Brandon) of Stittsville. Caring friend and step-father of Brad Churchward (Shannon) of Paris, Scott Churchward (Kristine) of Brooklyn, Matthew Brown of Petawawa and Greg Brown (Laura) of Petawawa. Loving grandpa of Grayson Shaw and Aurora Bartok, Parker, Campbell and Kyle Churchward, Ainsley, Lila and Silas Brown. Brother of Daniel Brinklow (Dorothy) of New Dundee, Nancy Strauss (Murray) of Mannheim, Maureen Knoerck (Dennis) of Kitchener, Tracy Nicholas (David) of Grand Prairie, AB. Brother-in-law and friend of Donna and Chuck Schell of Smithville, Joy Haines, Brigitte of Atwood and Bill Haines (Lynne) of Nanton, AB. Also loved and missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Jean and Wilfred Brinklow. Paul was a long time service employee of Canada Post. He gave freely of his time to promote the Canadian Postal Challenge and was National Director of the Challenge in 2004. Paul loved golfing, fishing and had a passion for camping and boating. Paul will also be sadly missed by his canine companion Zoe.
The family will receive friends at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Farringdon Burial Ground. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
